Many manufacturers offer free seven or thirty-day trials of their medications. Often times you need only print out the free trial form at the drug manufacturer's site, obtain a prescription from your doctor, and take both to the pharmacy for your free prescription.
Prescription rebates are another common discount. After you purchase a prescription, submit your receipt with the company's rebate form for money back.
These are short-term fixes to the country's health insurance catastrophe, but hey, every dime counts. The easiest way to obtain a free trial is to visit the manufacturers Web site, or type in the name of the medication then .com. In the left-side menu are links to ongoing trials and rebates.
